Thomas Beyer (flute), Gregor Witt (oboe), Heiner Schindler (clarinet), Mathias Baier (bassoon), Axel Grüner (horn) and as guest Amparo de Triana (castanets).
I composed the solo for concert castanets ‘Wooden Sound’ for this concert commissioned by the Hamburg Chamber Music Festival. A wonderful collaboration and experience with this fantastic musicians. In addition to the solo, I wrote for this concert a castanet part to Astor Piazzolla: Estaciónes Porteñas – Primavera and Otoño and Scott Joplin: Fig Leaf Rag, both as arrangements for wind quintet.
